I'm a software developer and technology leader. I've been a professional software engineer for over 26 years; about half of that coding and leading teams at Mailchimp as an engineer and then the CTO. I have experience in a wide variety of environments and languages - my favorites are Javascript and Java. Recently I delved into learning Rust and it was both fun and pretty complicated :)

An app for tracking visits to MLB Stadiums and tracking progress toward visiting all 30 active ballparks.

Spaces Scorepad
A little app for keeping score in the card game Spades. Our family loves to play this game and now we can keep score without a physical pad. Built using Vercel V0 to try out some 'vibe coding' and it did a fairly admirable job. Check it out.

Body Composition Tracking
I bought an InBody scale and it didn't have an app - so I built a little tool to track body composition. I also think a 5-day average is more accurate than 'today' as a measure. Again I used an AI dev tool to build it - this time replit.com.

Math Quiz Game
A little math quiz game to keep the brain fresh (built with my aging parents in mind, but I think I like it more than them). Sort equations from smallest to largest numerically. Try to beat your streak! Built with a wayback machine ... jquery! So fun to go back to it and give it whirl, with some vanilla JS in the mix.
